“The significant problems we face cannot be solved
at the same level of thinking that created them.” Albert Einstein

There has been a very positive response to my anger management services for individuals and couples. Due to frequent requests, we are now offering anger management groups and classes in Westchester (in the White Plains office only). As always, individual anger management counseling in New York City and Westchester is available.

Classes and groups for managing anger offer unique advantages:

  • In a class or group, anger and angry behavior are viewed as workable issues shared by members. So one does not feel so "different" and alone with the problem.
  • Members provide a range of people whose problems and suggestions a new member can relate to.
  • Members get group support to help empower change. They encourage each other through positive feedback and their own examples of progress.
  • Also, anger management in groups. though less intensive, is less expensive and may be the more practical choice compared with individual counseling.

Anger Management Groups for individuals

We also plan to offer a weekly 10-18 session solutions-focused anger management group at a later date. It will address anger control problems in intimate, family, personal and workplace relationships. It will provide essential information, counseling and cognitive-behavioral tools for emotional self regulation and anger control. This group encourages self-disclosure, problem solving, members' feedback and mutual support. A primary focus will be on developing anger control techniques. In addition, there will be a major focus on anger prevention through enhancing a couple's relationship, communication, and negotiation skills.
